Garment interlining is a kind of material which is used between fabric and lining, attached or glued to garment material. It has the characteristics of hard, stiff and elastic, and is an indispensable material for garment. Common have collar lining, chest lining, waist lining, big body lining, etc.
Lining material function: it is the bone chromium of clothing, which plays the role of modeling, maintaining, supporting, flattening and strengthening. It can not only make the appearance of clothing flat, straight, smooth and beautiful, but also cover up the defects of human body and enhance the fastness of clothing. Clothing lining materials include interlining and liner.

For the light color and light weight fabric, special attention should be paid to the color fastness of the lining to avoid staining, air permeability and other adverse phenomena.

Due to the differences in the types and characteristics of interlinings, the corresponding types, thickness, weight, hardness and elasticity of interlinings should be selected according to the different design parts and requirements of clothing, and the warp and weft direction of interlinings should be paid attention to when cutting, so as to accurately and perfectly meet the requirements of clothing design modeling.
